"Walking is Mans best medicine" – Hippocrates
27th of April 2009

That’s one medicine that is easier to take when the weather is as glorious as last weekend. Spring is officially here and to mark it there is an abundance of flowers adding colour and aroma to most of our routes across Powys.

One of these routes is The Erwood Riverside Walk, which is a short walk approximately 1.5 miles long and classified as easy. The path on the route can be narrow in places, with some uneven terrain, you will find yourself walking alongside the edge of River Wye at times, with occasional roadside walking.

It is worth remembering to take a coat with you if you are intending going on one of these walks, as the weather can still be unpredictable, and you may get caught in one of the April Showers.

The Spa Walk is a 2 mile circular walk that is classified as easy; there are some steep hills and uneven paths so caution is needed whilst you are out and about.

You may find a few surprises whilst out on your walk in the form of wooden sculptures.. To learn more about these interesting folk please visit www.llandoddies.co.uk
